Lola's makes a wide and varied line of delicious salsas ranging in heat from very mild to very hot, from very entirely savory to sweet and spicy. Salsas come in packs of six 16 oz glass jars packed in a tray and shrink wrapped. All salsas are vegan and gluten free except the Smoked Bacon & Sweet Corn variety. The beautiful matte label is easy to read in even the most challenging indoor lighting and features a heat scale on the side as well as a brief description of the flavor and portrait of the company's namesake: Lola.
Lola's is a Filipino-American company founded by Taufeek Shah and named after his mother, Dr. Carmelita Shah. In the Philippines "Lola" is a term of endearment for one's grandmother and these salsas were developed by our very own Lola from vegetables her patients would bring her in rural Iowa.
